Princess Alice

Richard Lawrence was ‘Man on the Edge.’ He worked just enough to earn money to do the important things in life such as going on holiday, running marathons, spending time with his friends, rowing, juggling, and writing. He put together books of his poetry which he sold for charity to friends and people he met in the pub.

Edge was 32 when he discovered he had cancer in February 2001. He died in June just a few days before he was due to be married, but not until after the stag night. This book is not about death, it is a celebration of life and his philosophy.

While he was ill Edge kept in touch with his friends (the Dream Team) via email. His messages continue to inspire us to change our lives, run marathons, and raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice to which all profits from this book will be donated.

“Life, it’s a treasure to be enjoyed; if you don’t love what you are doing, then maybe you should be doing something else. This has been a message of love from Man on the Edge.”
